Reads and Ramblings with Beth

Hello everyone 🌴 and welcome to the first of a new monthly post that I will be doing, where I talk about my TBR, any events or read-a-thons that I am participating in during the month and just a bit of a chatty update!!! I have 3 main things going on in June in regards to reading. 2 read-a-thons and a book club read, which across the 3 makes up most of my TBR for this month! I'll link to things along the way if you fancy getting involved and discuss what I'm going to be reading for each one.  As well as these 3 events I also have two reviews going up in June for books that I have been kindly sent for free to review by the authors. **"For never was a story of more woe, Than this of Juliet and her Romeo ...." (page 125) So, honesty time. This was my first time reading 'Romeo and Juliet'; in school I studied 'Macbeth' and 'Hamlet' briefly, followed by 4 years intense studying of 'Much Ado About Nothing' for both GCSE and A-Level. I picked this up because my partner gave me his old copy, as I was meant to be doing some tutoring for a student (before exams were cancelled) and I needed to get to grips with it. So, with the tutoring now out of the picture, I read this purely out of intrigue and largely because I felt like I had to given its reputation as one of Shakespeare's best and most famous plays. I'm going to be blunt - I really wish I hadn't! The balance of this review is going to be around 40% positive, to 60% very negative.
